As a Doula, I Do Not:
It all starts here, so my first consultation is free! You need to meet me and I you. We start with a coffee and you fire off your questions (and I've had some doozies) and I answer them. From here you'll see that I am 100% committed to giving you the best experience I can.
2 Prenatal Visits
After our initial meeting we get together to build your birth wish list. I address any fears or concerns you (or your partner) may have, which will allow you to enter the birthing experience with a positive mindset.
Phone & Email Support
From the beginning of our birthing experience together I am there for you. I answer calls, texts, messages and questions as you have them. I also understand that night time can be a lonely time so I'm there for you too.
I can source information as you need it and can often explain things that may seem a little confusing. I also provide options that you may not be aware of and recommend reading material that will make a difference.
From the moment your contractions start to the delivery and after care, I'm there - helping, supporting and encouraging you all the way and help you meet each stage of your delivery with experiece .
Baby’s First Feeding Support
Those of you who have had a baby know that breast feeding is not as easy as it sounds. Sometimes it takes a little getting used to. A helping and understanding Doula can make a difference.
Perform Any Clinical Tasks
A Doula does not perform any clinical examinations or processes.
That is the responsibility of your care provider.
Make Decisions For You
We create your wish list together, however, I will not make decisions on your behalf or encourage you into a situation that you feel uncomfortable with... My job is to care, encourage and support you.
Postpartum Follow-Up Visit
We have one or two meetings to debrief your experience and to answer any questions you may still have. We also assist in mothering techniques such as settling your baby etc.
